Exclusive battery recycling agreement signed with BYD Auto

Lithium Australia is pleased to announce a new exclusive battery recycling agreement with BYD Auto, a global leader in New Energy vehicles. The agreement has an initial 3-year term with potential for a 2-year extension option applying our new commercial terms.

This marks a significant milestone in increasing large-format lithium-ion battery collection volumes and aligns with our strategy of signing recycling agreements with leading EV and ESS manufacturers. The CEO of Lithium Australia, Simon Linge, and the General Manager of BYD Auto, Mr Liu Xueliang, both express excitement about this partnership, highlighting the commitment to technological innovation and sustainability in the global automotive industry. This strategic partnership demonstrates BYD's dedication to reducing carbon emissions and strengthening leadership in technological advancements.

We also note in the announcement that the recycling division continues to deliver cash profits into FY25.
